Ingredients of Pico De Gallo
- Prepare 8 of Firm Roma tomatoes.
- It's 1 of Bell pepper (I like yellow, but any color is fine).
- It's 1/2 of Red onion.
- It's 1 bunch of Cilantro.
- It's 4 oz of Can, diced jalapeños.
- You need 3 of Limes.
- You need 1 tsp of Ground cumin.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of Garlic powder.
- It's 1/2 tsp of Salt.
Pico De Gallo instructions
- Finely dice the tomatoes, bell pepper, onion and cilantro. Only use the tops of the cilantro, discard the stems..
- Combine in a large bowl...add juice of the limes (hint: microwave the limes for 20 seconds each to release more juice)..
- Add the jalapeños (with the juice) and the spices..
- Mix well, cover, and refrigerate. May be eaten right away, but the flavor will be better if made the day before..
- Always great with chips, as a condiment for many Mexican dishes, on top of eggs, etc...this will stay good and fresh in the fridge for about a week..
