Carnitas. Many find carnitas a little dry or flavorless. These have a great, distinctive flavor and are requested by friends and family over and over. Serve with warm, fresh tortillas and salsa.

Carnitas Traditional carnitas are cooked in lard, pulled from the oil, chopped, and served directly in tacos and such. This versatile dish is one of our most requested at Salsa Brava. Ingredients of Carnitas

  1. It's 2 of laurel leaves.
  2. It's 2 lbs of carnitas pork meat.
  3. Prepare half of an onion.
  4. Prepare half of an orange (juice only).
  5. Prepare 1 cup of beef broth.
  6. It's as needed of oil.
  7. Prepare 1 tsp of oregano.
  8. You need 1 tsp of marjoram.
  9. Prepare 1 tsp of sal.
  10. It's 1/2 tsp of black pepper.
  11. You need 1/2 tsp of garlic powder.

  2. Step two: this dish may take 2-3 hours depending on your oven. Mine took 2 hours. So pre-heat your oven at 350 f. Bake for 2 hours, check on it. Onced it done, re-bake back in oven uncovered for 15 mins so it can get a crisp on top. Then turn on a skillet medium low heat, add dripping of grease from your pan where you baked carnitas. And pour your carnitas in there. At this point what youre doing is frying them a bit. 5-10 mins tops om frying. Once done you can shred or leave them in chunks.
